Jennifer Meakins is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interiors at University of Kentucky. She recently taught at Kent State University where she was the 2020—2021 Schidlowski Emerging Faculty Fellow in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design. Jennifer received her Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois (UIC), Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from Colgate University. She previously taught Architecture and Interior Design studios at Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA, Woodbury University, and at UIC. Her research and pedagogy centers around dismantling patriarchal teaching and professional practices in architecture through investigation of traditional craft methods.
